Dr Lori Nalbantian
Dr. Lori Nalbantian is a Chemical Engineer and Principal Researcher at CPERI/CERTH. She has a considerable experience on the structural, chemical and morphological characterization of materials using advanced methods, as well as deep knowledge of the main principles of the development of new materials with defined characteristics.

The last 15 years Dr. L. Nalbantian’s research activities concern the synthesis and surface modification of magnetic nanoparticles, the development of materials used as oxygen carriers, for energy production with simultaneous CO2 capture, and the preparation and electrochemical characterization of dense membranes with mixed conductivity used for hydrogen production by thermochemical water decomposition. She was a member of the research team that was awarded with the DesCartes prize at 2007 for the program HYDROSOL-Advanced Monolithic Reactors for Solar Hydrogen Production via Water Splitting. She is an invited author of an edited book and has published more than 50 scientific papers in peer reviewed international journals, her scientific work has been presented more than 100 times in national and international conferences, while she has more than 1565 citations (h-index 24). Dr. L. Nalbantian has participated as coordinator or scientific responsible for more than 6 research projects with a total budget exceeding 1 M€.
