Among other activities she serves as Associate Editor of Chemical Engineering Journal, Elsevier and as Vice President of European Federation of Catalysis Societies. Prof. Lemonidou’s research activities are in the area of reaction engineering and catalysis. Topics currently studied are the sustainable production of hydrogen through advanced looping of natural gas steam reforming, the CO2 capture, the thermochemical heat storage, the selective oxidation of lower alkanes and the valorization of biomass derived oxygenates via hydrodeoxygenation. Expertise lies in the preparation of nanomaterials via advanced preparation techniques, the structural and morphological characterization with advanced techniques, as well as detailed kinetic and mechanistic studies of materials under reaction conditions.
