Dr. Dimitrios Sofialidis

Dr. Dimitris Sofialidis is SIMTEC’s CTO since its establishment in 2001. He received MEng degree in 1991 and his PhD degree (in turbulence modelling) in 1997, both from Aristotle Univ. of Thessaloniki, Greece. He also holds a MSc degree in Thermal Power & Fluids Engineering from the Univ. of Manchester, UK (1993), where his Thesis supervisor was Prof. B. E. Launder.

Dimitris is working with Fluent Inc./Ansys Inc. CFD codes since 1999, in technical customer support, user training and consulting services. Since 2006 he is also active in structural FEA and Low Frequency Electromagnetics simulation with Ansys Inc. packages in the same activities as for CFD. Dimitris has trained more than 400 users in CFD, FEA and Electromagnetics and has executed more than 15 large consulting projects.
